I've seen 3 more shows this past week of the Melbourne Comedy Festival
Life After Dick - This was a raunchy show featuring three female comedians who used to be the opening act for Puppetry of the Penis. These gals were quite funny. A bit lewd and crude, but funny as hell. As an added bonus, they had a male stripper open for them, but sadly he did not take it ALL off for us, and there he didn't work the crowd for tips or anything. Which made me wonder, in a country that does not have paper money for 1 or 2 dollars, what do they use to tip strippers? I haven't found an answer yet.
D-cuppetry - Dance of the D-cups - These two ladies were amazing. I learned alot about the capabilities and maleability of the breast. It was funny as.
Demetri Martin - Dr. Earnest Parrot presents Demetri Martin - I loved this show. It was really fun, yet deep and quirky and my kind of wierd. The show was a mix of him telling stories from his life, some video and pictures, as well as music. I was really impressed with this guy, the drawings and writing that were a part of his act, as well as his ability to play the guitar and the piano. I am constantly awed by the creativity I see in the comedians of this festival. Demetri Martin lives and works in New York, so hopefully I will be able to see him in another show when I return to the United States.

oh, i asked my frinds about the stripper issue. they suggest using fives and that in sf, at least, a one dollar tip isn't much of a tip anymore. i'm interested in what your aussie friends say.
I was thinking that maybe they use fives, but that would be a whopping tip here. I have also considered that they may not tip at all, since they don't tip waitresses, bartenders, taxidrivers and the like (because they get paid a fair wage and don't rely on tips to make a living). I think that is why the service here tends to be slightly below my expectations..
