I have never been more proud to be an American

I hope by now all of you have seen Stephen Colbert's amazing act from the White House Correspondents' dinner last weekend. If you haven't, there are links to the bits here, and here . There are 3 parts, be sure to see them all.

So, all I can say is:

Oh.
My.
God.

I have watched it about 5 times already, and I am still filled with utter awe. I can't believe he said all those things right in front of the president! Good on him.

"I believe the government that governs best is the government that governs least. And by these standards we have set up a fabulous government in Iraq"

"It's like boxing a glacier. Um, enjoy that metaphor by the way, because your grandchildren will have no idea what a glacier is."

"NOOOOOOOOO"

Oh, so perfect. And the president had to just sit there and take it. Brilliant.
THAT's what I love about America.

I had to watch before I could understand the "NOOOOOOO" part. Hilarious. His phone is definitely getting wiretapped.

i saw this the other day and oh my goodness. that man has balls. rock on! rock on! rock on!

the funniest part was that i was watching it with other people who lean the same way i do politically, and yet they were *shocked*... *shocked* that he would say these things just 5 feet from the president.

yeah, the man took some huge risks, but once it started i could feel was really fucking proud of him!
