I was flipping through the stations today, and came across a debate about climate changes on a financial news show.
They were talking about whether saving the planet was good or bad for capitalism.
Whatever.
But, one of the pundits said that we should rely on ingeniut and the economic drive for innovation to take care of the planet. He suggested that maybe someday someone will invent a MACHINE to suck the carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and pump oxygen back in.
You know, like PLANTS??
*shakes head, throws up hands, and sighs for the future of the planet*

During my stay at Ramapo College I knew plenty of people studying economics and/or finance (even the suposedly smart ones). I came to the conclusion that it is terrifying that some of them could become responsible for the financial power of corporations and governments.
Now, the guy talking about the "machine that pumps CO2 out of the air and makes oxygen"... That's a classic!
