appreciating the little things

One of the fascinating but slightly tedious responsibilities of a scientist is to keep up with current goings-on in one's field. Sometimes, though, there are gems of humor in all the data and jargon.

Upon opening an article published online ahead of printing this morning, the first thing on the title page was this statement:

DISCLOSURE STATEMENT: The authors have nothing to disclose.

Whew. I'm glad we got THAT out of the way.
