spelling pet peeve

Hi. *I take out a soap box, and stand upon it*

I just wanted to take some time today to talk about the word definitely. It's a great word, I use it all the time. Many of my brilliant, gorgeous, glamorous friends use this word often. And, sometimes, they misspell it. And it drives me completely nuts.

There is no "A" in the word definitely. Seriously. Look it up. Please, please stop putting one there. It looks stupid, and the poor word doesn't want to look stupid.

It's my biggest pet peeve in the English language.
