I found my wallet!
It turns out I never had it at all on Friday and it was still in my pants from the day before.
So when I did laundry this morning, guess what was in the washing machine!
Yay!
It would have been nice if I had checked my pants before I cancelled my ATM card and credit card and went all over town retracing my steps again, but hindsight is 20/20.
I am just happy to have my IDs back! Yay!
Yay!

That is very strange... I guess you didn't get coffee or anything at the Beefalo show?
Two weeks after I came to Lehigh I lost my wallet with everything in it, INCLUDING my social security card (which I had because I had got a new drivers license that day). It was found somewhere on campus, with everything (and cash) in it, but just as in your case after I had canceled my cards, reported the drivers license, etc.
I feel your pain.
The good thing is that you don't have to worry about anything going wrong now.
YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!!! Sometimes it is good to update the cards anyway because it gives you new numbers and therefore lessons the threat of identity theft. Does that make it better? ;)
Hooray for found wallets! Sorry you went through all that pain-in-the-ass stuff, but still better found then not - I've been through identity theft, it's not as fun as it sounds... ;-)
