It's good to see you found the new place alright!
So, these are the new digs, I hope you like 'em.
Let's jump right in, shall we?
I started filling out the "What Have You Been Up To?" questionaire for my 10-year high school reunion at the end of this month. Most of the questions are pretty standard:
What am I doing now?
graduate school.
Married? Kids?
No, none that I know of.
That's fine. Standard questions are easily answered.
Then comes the deeper questions...
Biggest/most memorable moment(s) of your life in the past 10 years, and plans for the next 10?
To answer this question they gave me 2 and 1/4 lines! The biggest things that have happened to me in the last 10 years AND my plans for the next 10 years are supposed to be crammed into a mere 2 and 1/4 lines?
I don't think the high school reunion people really understand my life.
I am a single woman in the process of getting my Ph.D and nearing the cusp of turning 30. I have a lot of plans. And, I haven't exactly been lying around on the couch watching TV for the last 10 years (well, not for the whole 10 years), so I have more than one or two memorable moments as well.
Biggest memory of high school/what do you remember most/funniest memory/favorite teacher?
Do I answer all of these/aren't the first two options the same question/can I phrase my answer like this?
Who am I most looking forward to seeing at the reunion and why?
Hmm...is it socially acceptable to say 'shy cute boys from high school that have grown into outgoing single attractive men because I am curious about how those new shared pleasure twisty on the tip-shaped condoms feel'?
Probably not.
Kidding aside, I am excited to go to this reunion. I can't believe how much I have done in the last 10 years and how different my life is than what, at 18, I thought it would be like. Not better nor worse than the 18-year-old hamster_grrl visualized, just different.
Thank you. It's been wonderful talking to all of you. Godspeed.
P.S. Curious about the old digs? You can see them here.
