first day on my own

Today my lab tech went back to the US, and instead of using this day to be super productive and getting my FINAL manuscript revisions done, I listened to Christmas music, talked to a couple of people in the States, wasted time playing games on the computer and watching Daily Show web videos and got a super cheap rental car:
