Oh my! I haven't forgotten about you, things have just been busier than usual here in the land down under.

In less than 72 hours I will be boarding the plane to go back to the U.S. I am definitely excited to get back to my friends and give them all about a thousand hugs (so prepare yourselves for an extra-huggy hamster_grrl).

The past several days have been full of activities, both social and work-related, it's all become a blur. I will have to wait until I return to the U.S. to straighten out all the stories and post them properly with pictures here.

Today was my last day at work. We had a morning tea with many delicious snacks and cool presents from my cohorts. I was sincerely touched, and cried a little when I tried to give my "thanks for everything" speech.

I can't believe it has been six months! I feel like I just got here. But, then I look back on my life in November and it seems like a lifetime ago.

So much about me has changed in the last several months. I feel different. I look different. Hell, I probably sound a bit different. But, then again, I'm still the same. It's hard to explain. I can't find the words right now.

For my last hurrahs in Oz this weekend, I have my last bellydancing class tomorrow morning. The evening will bring me to the International Beer Awards, or BEERTOPIA with some mates from work. Finally, Sunday rounds out the weekend with my 4th and final good-bye lunch.

Oh, yeah, and I also have to clean and pack. At least I only have to worry about one room in a house than a whole flat this time.
