Oh Hai!

Whoa.

So I kinda fell of the planet there for a bit. It's been a strange time here at the casa de hamster_grrl.

I'll make a potentially very long story short(er): I recently was diagnosed with depression, which I have probably been battling for the last few years. I got some help and some fantastic medication and things are better than they have been in, well, as long as I can remember.

So, now that I feel like I can get a handle on my life again I've decided to try this new thing called Getting My Shit Together, which includes, but is not limited to:

Finishing my dissertation
Finding a job
Getting on a proper sleep schedule
Getting control of my finances
Keeping my blog updated

It seems like quite a list, I know, but I am trying to take managable, consistent steps to do those things.

I've managed to dig a deep hole for myself, hiding from life for awhile, so I am taking charge and getting myself out of it.

Which brings me to the latest addition to the side bar, to help me track my goals and hold myself accountable. Because I would rather have that little line be green and the points for the week be 10-15. We shall see how it goes.
